The invention provides application of arsenic trioxide and water-soluble substances thereof in preparation of medicine for treating atopic dermatitis, discloses a safe and effective treatment effect of the arsenic trioxide on the atopic dermatitis (AD). The application of the arsenic trioxide and the water-soluble substances thereof in preparation of the medicine for treating the atopic dermatitis expands medical application of the arsenic trioxide, and provides a new important means for direct clinical transformation for treatment of the AD. Arsenious acid used in veins is used as a first-line medicine for treating acute promyelocytic leukemia, and compared with a biological preparation-degree priliumele injection for treating the AD at present, the cost is greatly reduced, so that the arsenious acid has important clinical significance and market prospects.
