[0037] Steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) is the response of the human visual system to external periodic visual stimuli. Studies have shown that the magnitude of responses to corresponding SSVEPs evoked by steady-state visual stimuli oscillating at specific frequencies is enhanced in attentional situations. The present invention combines the experimental paradigm that can induce visual attention fatigue, proposes a new strategy for visual attention level recognition by measuring background SSVEP, and develops a typical pattern matching for identifying SSVEP signals under different visual attention levels (DCPM) algorithm. The experimental results of offline test show that the DCPM algorithm can obtain a higher classification accuracy rate, which proves that the SSVEP features modulated by different visual attention states are separable, and the recognition of the visual attention level can be realized by measuring the background SSVEP.
