The preparation method comprises the step of reacting a mixed solution containing a water-soluble silver salt, a reducing agent and zirconium phosphate to obtain the silver-loaded zirconium phosphate. According to the method, an in-situ reduction method is adopted, silver ions are directly subjected to a reduction reaction on the surface of zirconium phosphate and in mesopores through a reducing agent, and the silver-loaded zirconium phosphate is obtained. The silver-loaded zirconium phosphate provided by the invention has relatively high silver loading capacity and is suitable for being used as an antibacterial agent, and the preparation method provided by the invention is simple and easy to operate and mild in process conditions.
