Abstract

The invention discloses a liquid crystal composition and a photoelectric display device. The liquid crystal composition comprises, based on the total weight of the composition, 1-30% of at least one compound shown as a general formula I, 5-35% of at least one compound shown as a general formula II and 10-50% of at least one compound shown as a general formula III. The liquid crystal composition has a proper clearing point, proper optical anisotropy, proper dielectric anisotropy, higher voltage retention rate, higher transmittance, better high-temperature resistance and higher response speed, and is suitable for VA, IPS, FFS and other display modes.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of liquid crystal materials, and in particular relates to a liquid crystal composition and a photoelectric display device. Background technique [0002] Liquid crystal displays (LCDs) are used in many fields to display information, mainly for direct-view displays and projection-type displays. LCD has been developed rapidly because of its small size, light weight, low power consumption and excellent display quality, and it has been widely used in portable electronic information products. As the size of LCD screens for portable computers, office applications, and video applications increases, LCDs can be used for large-screen display and eventually replace cathode ray tubes (Cathode Ray Tube, CRT). [0003] Currently, the electro-optic mode used for most displays is the twisted nematic (TN) mode and its variants. In addition to this mode, supertwisted nematic (STN) mode and optically compensated bending (OCB...
