Abstract

The invention relates to a JND prediction method and device for a screen content image, computer equipment and a storage medium, and the method comprises the steps: calculating the spectral residual error of the image, and obtaining the uncertainty of each pixel in the image through the extraction of the orderliness features of measurement pixels; dividing the image into a predictable content partand an unpredictable content part according to the uncertainty; obtaining a JND threshold value of the unpredictable content part by calculating a contrast masking metric value; obtaining a JND threshold value of the predictable part by calculating brightness contrast masking and fuzzy masking measurement values; and carrying out nonlinear superposition on the JND threshold of the unpredictable content part and the JND threshold of the predictable part, and endowing edge pixels in different directions with different weights according to direction-based weight factors to obtain a final JND threshold of the image. Sensitivity of stimulation in different directions is adjusted by utilizing a human eye vision system, and the method can be used for obtaining a distortion threshold value whichcan be exactly perceived by the whole image.
