Abstract

The invention relates to application of PRCC or an up-regulation agent thereof in liver cancer treatment and application of PRCC in liver cancer diagnosis or prognosis. The research on liver cancer clinical tissue samples finds that PRCC is highly expressed in liver cancer and is related to poor prognosis of patients. The serum detection on liver cancer and normal people finds that PRCC can be used as a liver cancer diagnosis index and has excellent sensitivity, specificity and accuracy. Further overexpression or knock-down PRCC research finds that PRCC high expression can inhibit the formation of tumor stem cells, and can inhibit tumor formation and metastasis of liver cancer in vitro and in vivo. The invention provides a new thought for treatment, clinical diagnosis and prognosis of liver cancer.
