Abstract

The invention discloses a fruit preservative. The fruit preservative comprises fulvic acid, algal polysaccharides and water, wherein the concentration of the fulvic acid is 400-800 ppm, and the concentration of the algal polysaccharides is 200-600 ppm. The invention further discloses a method for delaying senescence of citrus fruits and prolonging the fruit bearing fresh-keeping period. The fruitpreservative is sprayed to the citrus fruits 20-40 days before the citrus fruits are ripe and picked. After a fulvic acid / algal polysaccharide mixed preparation is sprayed to fruits on trees before picking, peel color change is delayed, the fruit ripening and senescence process is delayed, and a certain fresh-keeping effect is achieved; besides, fruit falling is not prone to occurrence, the fruitsremain on the trees, the fruit ripening and picking period is prolonged, and the contradiction that the fruits are centralized to appear on the market and rot is relieved. The fulvic acid / algal polysaccharides are safe, non-toxic, almost natural, harmless to the environment and soil and free of pollution.
