Abstract

A filter unit (2) for filtering a liquid includes a bracket (10) rotatably supported about a rotational axis (12) and including a plurality of bracket portions (14) disposed about a circumference thereof. In each bracket portion (14), two first screen elements (16) are arranged to extend outwardly from the circumference of the bracket (10) and approach each other with an increase in the distance from the circumference of the bracket (10) in the radial direction with respect to the rotational axis (12). Furthermore, in each bracket portion (14), a second screen element (18) is provided, which extends substantially along the circumference of the bracket (10) such that the two first screen elements (16) and the second screen element (18) of the bracket portion (14) are arranged substantiallyin the form of a triangle. The mesh size of the second screen element (18) is greater than the mesh size of the first screen element (16).
