Benefits of technology

This technology helps evaluate how cracks occur during drilling operations on different types of rocks or underground structures. It involves comparing two pressurized fluids with an explosion at one location where they are being drilled together. If there were any differences that could indicate damage from these processes, it suggests possible ways to fix them before further use.

Problems solved by technology

Technological Problem addressed in this patented text relates to studying how long fracturings take place when drilling new hydrocarbon deposits or recovering existing ones from older sources without causing damage due to excessive water injection. Current techniques involve testing at different depth levels within the boreholes with special tools such as hydraulics or scanning electron microscope imagery. However these conventional ways require expensive equipment and time delays before they provide accurate results.

Embodiment Construction

[0032] The present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0033] Assume that there is only one active well and one observation well in the homogeneous infinite formation, and they are connected to each other with a distance of L (m); before the active well is fractured, the entire formation has a uniform original pressure P i (MPa). At the initial stage of fracturing in the excited well, the formation has not been fractured to maintain the original formation. At this time, it can be known from the superposition principle that the pressure in the observed well is:

[0034]

[0035] In the formula:

[0036] P i : original formation pressure, in MPa; P(L,t): pressure at L distance from well point at time t, in MPa;

[0037] t: production time, unit is h; L: length, unit is m; q: output, unit is m 3 / d;

[0038] μ: viscosity, mPa·s; B: volume coefficient, dimensionless; K: permeability, in mD;

Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of oil reservoir geology, in particular to a method for evaluating a fracturing fracture by using an interference well testing theory. The method comprisesthe steps that the communication condition between a pressure flooding well and surrounding adjacent wells is investigated, and the well cementation quality, a pressure flooding target layer position, dynamic production information and a sedimentary facies belt map of the pressure flooding well are collected; a pressure-flooding pressure real-time monitoring well is determined; the middle depth of an oil reservoir of the pressure real-time monitoring well, the distance between the monitoring well and the pressure flooding well, the dynamic production condition and the conditions of a production string, a wellhead and a well site are determined, and the testing mode is determined to be pressure gauge real-time monitoring; a real-time monitoring scheme is formulated, and test construction steps and requirements are determined; in the pressure flooding process, adjacent well pressure real-time monitoring original data are checked; a well pressure curve is monitored, and pressure floodinginterference time lag analysis is carried out; and pressure flooding fracture evaluation is performed according to a pressure flooding interference time lag interpretation result. According to the provided method for evaluating the fracture, by using the interference well testing principle, the inter-well connectivity is judged and the fracture length is explained by monitoring the adjacent wellpressure.
