The method comprises the steps of obtaining feature information of a to-be-evaluated advertisement picture, the feature informationof the to-be-evaluated advertisement picture serving as first feature information, obtaining a prediction click rate of the to-be-evaluated advertisement picture according to the first feature information and a preset prediction model, the prediction model being obtained by training a sample picture and the sample picture being a historical advertisement picture in a remaining time period after asecond preset time period is eliminated in a first preset time period, obtaining a first click rate, the first click rate being a historical click rate of a historical advertisement picture and the historical advertisement picture being an online advertisement picture in a historical period, comparing the prediction click rate with the first click rate, and obtaining an evaluation result of the to-be-evaluated picture according to a comparison result. Thus, the quality of the to-be-evaluated advertisement is automatically evaluated, the evaluation efficiency of the advertisement picture is improved, in addition, the evaluation result is more accurate, and the evaluation result can be used for optimizing the to-be-evaluated advertisement picture.
