Abstract

A fuse (1) according to the invention includes a protective housing (2) and a measurement device (10). Two electrical connection elements (3) of the fuse (1) are routed out of the protective housing and at least one fuse element (5) is arranged in the protective housing, the at least one fuse element electrically conductively connecting the two electrical connection elements (3) in the protectivehousing (2) to one another. The measurement device includes a sensor element (11) to detect a physical state measured value of the fuse (1) and a transmission apparatus (13) to transmit the measured value to a reception device arranged outside the fuse (1). The measurement device further includes a dedicated housing (12) in which the sensor element (11) is received and held, the dedicated housingbeing mechanically connected to the protective housing (2). An overall installation space required for the protective housing (2) and the dedicated housing (12) corresponds to an installation space ofa standardized NH fuse. The fuse (1) is usable for retrofit applications in the context of retrofitting or modernization of existing installations in the context of which a conventional fuse withouta measurement device (10) is intended to be replaced with the fuse according to the invention.
