The method includes acquiring pollutant concentration information collected by a monitoring device within a preset time period; according to a time stamp of the pollutant concentration data, calculating the trend of two adjacent pollutant concentration data; according to the trend of the two adjacentpollutant concentration data, calculating a first rising probability, a first levelling probability and a first lowering probability in the multiple pollutant concentration data; acquiring meteorological condition information within a preset time period; according to wind condition data, classifying wind conditions to acquire multiple categories of the wind conditions; calculating a second risingprobability, a second levelling probability and a second lowering probability of the pollutant concentration data under each category of the wind condition data; calculating a first difference value between the second rising probability and the first rising probability, and a second difference value between the second lowering probability and the first lowering probability; and determining the direction of pollutants according to the first difference value and the second difference value.
