Abstract

The invention provides medicinal application of astragalus polysaccharide in prevention and treatment of leptospirosis. In the medicinal application, a standard product of the astragalus polysaccharide is injected to golden hamsters sensitive to leptospiras in advance at a dose of 50mg/kg, infections of the leptospiras can be effectively controlled after the golden hamsters are infected with 2*10<8> ml of the leptospiras, and the survival rate reaches 100%. The medicinal application range of the astragalus polysaccharide is widened, and a basis is provided for development of new application ofthe astragalus polysaccharide.
