The air conditioner comprises an outdoor unit, an indoor unit and a control mechanism, wherein the outdoor unit comprises an outdoor fan as well as a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger and an outdoor throttle mechanism which are sequentially connected; the indoor unit comprises an indoor fan, an indoor throttle mechanism, an indoor heat exchanger and a multi-way valve; the indoor heat exchanger comprises at least two heat exchange parts; ends of the at least two heat exchange parts areseparately connected to the multi-path valve, and the other ends of the at least two heat exchange parts are connected to the outdoor throttle mechanism through the indoor throttle mechanism or are connected to the outdoor throttle mechanism directly; the multi-way valve is in communication, so that at least two heat exchange parts define a parallel-connection structure; or at least one heat exchange part connected to the indoor throttle mechanism is in parallel connection to the outdoor heat exchanger.
