According to the backlight module provided by the invention, the light extraction structures on the light emergent surface of the light guide plate can enable the light beam emitted from the light source to be totally reflected in the light guide plate and then to be converged and emitted or diverged and emitted, so that the display device comprising the backlight module has higher transparency, higher contrast ratio and higher light emitting rate.
