Problems solved by technology

Therefore, higher requirements are placed on the self-priming ability of centrifugal pumps, and higher requirements are also placed on anti-cavitation capabilities. However, the traditional methods of changing the shape of the inlet blades and adding inducers cannot meet the above requirements.

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of low-pressure fuel pumps of an aviation engine fuel system, and relates to a fuel inlet device for improving the self-suction capacity of a centrifugal pump. The device comprises an integrated induction impeller (1), a pump cover (2) and an injection pipe (3), and a formed internal structure comprises a mixing section (4), a nozzle (5), a throat pipe(6), an oil return pipe (7), a diffusion section (8) and an oil return port (9). According to the device, the pump cover of the centrifugal pump is skillfully utilized, the oil return port and the oilreturn pipe are arranged to introduce high-pressure oil at an outlet back to an inlet, and the jet flow is formed through the nozzle, so that the energy at the inlet is increased and the cavitation resistance is improved while the self-suction capacity of the inlet is improved; and the device is simple in structure and easy to realize, and the weight and the space are saved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of low-pressure fuel pumps of aero-engine fuel systems, and in particular relates to an inlet device with simple structure for improving the self-priming performance and cavitation resistance of centrifugal pumps. Background technique [0002] In some aircraft engine fuel systems, centrifugal pumps are used as primary booster pumps to provide the high pressure pumps with the fuel pressure required for cavitation-free operation by primary boosting the fuel from the tank. In order to reduce the possibility of damage and fire caused by continuous operation, the fuel tank of the aircraft is set as a low-level fuel tank so that its position is lower than the inlet of the booster pump to ensure that the fuel pressure in the pipeline between the fuel tank and the inlet of the booster pump is lower than atmospheric pressure. The air vent communicates with the atmosphere. Therefore, the centrifugal pump is required to have a ...
