Abstract

The invention discloses a method and system for verifying a certificate and a certificate holder. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a video of which the certificate has a specified sequence projection angle in real time; extracting image features of the certificate at different projection angles in the video; verifying the authenticity of the certificate according to the image features of the certificate; collecting a face video in real time; carrying out living body detection on the face video, and extracting image features of the face; when the certificate is verified to betrue and the living body is detected to be a real person, comparing the image features of the certificate with the image features of the human face; and if the comparison is passed, proving that thecertificate holder is a person to which the certificate belongs, and if the comparison is not passed, proving that the certificate holder is not the person to which the certificate belongs. Accordingto the method, the authenticity of the certificate is verified through different projection angles; whether the certificate is held by a real person is verified through face living body detection; whether the certificate is held by the real person is verified through comparison of real person face image features and certificate face image features; the certificate and the certificate holder are verified rapidly and accurately; and the verification process has the advantages of being real-time, accurate, universal, robust and extensible.
