Abstract

The image stitching method comprises the following stepsof calculating a plurality of costs respectively corresponding to a plurality of positions in an overlapped area according to pixel values of the first image and the second image in the overlapped area; calculating a plurality of forward normalized cumulative costs corresponding to the plurality of positions in the overlap region according to the relative distances between the plurality of costsand the plurality of positions; determining a suture in the overlap region according to the plurality of forward normalized cumulative costs, the suture comprising a plurality of suture locations; andstitching the first image and the second image based on the stitching line to generate a stitched image.
