Abstract

The invention discloses a tripod for a total station. The tripod comprises a mounting platform and three supporting legs. The mounting platform includes an outer ring, an inner ring and a connecting platform. The two lateral ends of the outer ring are connected to the two lateral ends of the inner ring by rotating shafts; and the two longitudinal ends of the inner ring are connected to the two longitudinal ends of the connecting platform through rotating shafts. The connecting platform in a hemispherical shape has an upper surface being a connecting plane; the connecting line between the gravity center of the connecting platform and the center of the connecting plane is perpendicular to the connecting plane; and a mounting screw hole for connecting a total station is arranged at the middlepart of the connecting plane. Loosening bolts are arranged at the two longitudinal ends of the outer ring and the tops of the loosening bolts are locked with the lower spherical surface of the connecting platform movably. Therefore, the leveling operation of the total station measurement process is simplified; and the measurement time consumption is greatly reduced.
