Abstract

The invention provides a surface tension measuring method based on an axisymmetric droplet contour curve. The method comprises the following steps: a tiled droplet image is taken, and a droplet contour curve is extracted; two measurement points not on the same horizontal plane are selected on the droplet contour curve; and the above geometric parameters associated with the selected two measurementpoints on the droplet contour curve are measured, and the surface tension of the liquid is calculated by using the following formula as described in the specifications. Through measurement on the geometric parameters of one point on the axisymmetric droplet surface and measurement on the associated liquid volume, the surface tension value can be simply obtained, no complex calculation is needed,and the calculation time is saved; and for an uneven surface tension condition, the surface tension of any point on the liquid can be simply obtained.
