A synchronous water environment bearing capacity evaluation and type identification method belongs to that field of water environment management. The method comprises the following step of: utilizinga PSR model to analyze the change process of the water environment bearing capacity, and constructing an index system of three subsystems of the water environment pressure bearing capacity, the waterenvironment state bearing capacity and the water environment response bearing capacity; normalizing the sample data and determining the index weight, substitutin the data into the variable fuzzy recognition model for evaluation, and acquiring the evaluation level of the subsystem. Then the water environmental carrying capacity is divided into 27 types according to the evaluation results of the subsystem. According to the evaluation results of the subsystem, the water environment bearing capacity is calculated by using the weighted average method, and the type of bearing capacity is determined.Finally, the subsystem evaluation results, water environment carrying capacity evaluation results, water environment carrying capacity types and other factors are substituted into GIS to draw the distribution map of water environment carrying capacity.
