The high-speed CAN bus data converting device comprises a control module, a clock module, a storage module, a transmission module, a bus analyzing module and a bus receiving-transmitting module, wherein the bus analyzing module is connected with the control module, and used for reading CAN bus data; the bus receiving-transmitting module, the storage module and the transmission module interact with the control module respectively; the clock module is connected with the control module, and used for generating a time signal according to time of the CAN bus data read by the bus analyzing module; the control module is used for generating a timestamp according to the time signal, and encapsulating the timestamp and the corresponding CAN bus data; and the encapsulated CAN bus data carry the timestamp. Through adoption of the high-speed CAN bus data converting device and method, the problem of influence on the time sequence and timeliness of the bus data since time of the CAN bus data is recorded by taking time generated by an upper computer as a reference is solved, and convenience is brought to subsequent proceeding of a CAN communication time sequence analysis or a response time limit analysis.
