Abstract

The invention discloses a data flow adaptive system and corresponding adjustment method in a virtual machine migration procedure, which aims to solve a problem of data packet dropout caused by neglect of processing of a data packet subsequently arriving in an original physical machine during ''shutdown-restart'' in the prior art. The system comprises a transmitting end for redirecting the data packet when the virtual machine shuts down, a receiving end for retransmitting the data packet after the virtual machine restarts and a migration mechanism for migrating the data packet between the transmitting end and the receiving end. According to the method provided by the invention, the virtual machine can still process the data packet arriving in the original physical machine after restarting in a new physical machine through sequential combination of the three parts, thereby implementing an effect that the data packet arriving in the virtual machine in the whole migration procedure is nearly lossless and providing a foundation for designing various virtual machine schemes of the upper layer.
