Abstract

The invention discloses a southern cutting and seedling raising method for autumn loropetalum chinense var.rubrum. The method comprises the following steps: (1) preparation of a seedbed and a matrix; (2) collection of cuttings and cutting spikes; (3) rooting treatment; (4) cutting treatment; (5) post-cutting management. According to the southern cutting and seedling raising method, the loropetalum chinense var.rubrum is subjected to cutting and seedling raising in a simple plastic shed; by the use of a warm weather condition in autumn and winter in the south, a layer of black shading net is additionally arranged outside the simple plastic arch shed for cutting and seedling raising of the autumn loropetalum chinense var.rubrum, so that the seedling raising cost is relatively low. Meanwhile, by the method, the loropetalum chinense var.rubrum cutting seedlings can be rooted in autumn; in a growing season of the early spring of the next year, the loropetalum chinense var.rubrum cutting seedlings can grow, so that the nursery seedling raising time can be shortened; according to the method disclosed by the invention, the loropetalum chinense var.rubrum subjected to cutting can grow multiple roots and are easy to survival; therefore, the survival rate is 95 percent, and the preserving rate is 100 percent.
