Abstract

An electric vehicle power management system includes a processing hardware unit and a plurality of modules executable by the processing hardware unit. The plurality of modules includes a calendar module configured to obtain, by the processing hardware unit, a user itinerary indicating a plurality of appointment locations to be visited by the electric vehicle user and times associated with visiting the appointment locations. The module also includes a path module configured to determine an optional path connecting the agreed positions indicated by the user's itinerary through a processing hardware unit; and a vehicle energy module configured to predict The state of charge of the electric vehicle, or changes in the state of charge, yields a state of charge prediction. A route module determines a selected route based on a state of charge prediction from a vehicle energy module. Similar methods and computer readable storage devices are also provided.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to systems and methods for managing vehicle levels, and more particularly to systems and methods for managing and utilizing power sources for electric vehicles based on a driver's lifestyle, including personal schedules. Background technique [0002] Sales of electric or plug-in vehicles continue to rise worldwide. The increased usage is both facilitated and due to substantial improvements in related technologies including batteries and charging systems. [0003] Popularity has also led to an increase in charging stations. Like the number of electric vehicles on the road, the number of home-based charging system facilities and remote charging stations has grown steadily over the past five years. [0004] But remote charging stations are still relatively sparse compared to gas stations. Users often need to drastically change their plans based on insufficient charging. This inconvenience, and the associated use...
