The robot comprises a tree climbing mechanism, a branch trimming mechanism, wherein the tree climbing mechanism comprises a tree climbing hydraulic device, its upper and lower ends are respectively provided with a group of telescopic rods and fixing rods; one group of the telescopic rods and the fixing rods are kept holding tight the trunk, and the trunk is released by the other group of telescopic rods and fixing rods, the group of telescopic rods and fixing rods releasing the trunk are made to move up and down through the tree climbing hydraulic device, so that the up and down movements of the overall mechanism are achieved; the branch trimming mechanism comprises an outer gear ring, an inner ring, a chain saw mechanism, a hydraulic mechanism, the chain saw mechanism is fixed through the hydraulic mechanism on the outer gear ring, drives the small gears on both sides of the outer gear ring through the motor, and further drives the outer gear ring to rotate around the inner ring, meanwhile starts the chain saw mechanism on the outer gear ring to make it trim the branches around the trunk, and adjusts through the hydraulic mechanism the distance between the chain saw mechanism and the trunk.
