Problems solved by technology

[0003] However, when there is oil on the surface of the mobile terminal, the infrared proximity sensor cannot accurately determine whether there is an obstruction approaching the mobile terminal or away from the mobile terminal, resulting in the mobile terminal being unable to perform screen-off and screen-on operations according to the user's call process

Abstract

The invention discloses a device and method for detecting a distance between a terminal and a shielding object. According to the device, a judgment module judges intensity of an infrared signal reflected by the shielding object; when the judgment module judges that the intensity of the infrared signal is greater than a first intensity threshold, a determining module determines whether a distance between the shielding object and the terminal is smaller than or equal to a first distance threshold; when the judgment module judges that the intensity is smaller than a second intensity threshold, the determining module determines whether the distance between the shielding object and the terminal is greater than or equal to a second distance threshold; the second intensity threshold is smaller than the first intensity threshold; the first distance threshold is smaller than the second distance threshold; when the judgment module judges that the intensity is greater than a third intensity threshold, an updating module updates the first intensity threshold into an infrared signal full scale optimum value and updates the second intensity threshold successively; and the third intensity threshold is greater than the first intensity threshold. According to the device and method disclosed by the invention, the infrared signal intensity threshold is updated by an oil stain compensation value; and when oil stain exists at an opening of an infrared sensor, the distance between the terminal and the shielding object is accurately judged so as to successfully execute operations of turning off a screen and turning on the screen.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to information processing technology, in particular to a device and method for detecting the distance between a terminal and an obstruction. Background technique [0002] With the popularization and development of mobile terminals, the functions of mobile terminals are becoming more and more diverse, but receiving and making calls are still frequently used by users. In the process of making and receiving calls, in order to prevent false triggering of the touch screen of the mobile terminal, it is necessary to use an infrared proximity sensor to determine whether there is an obstruction approaching the mobile terminal. When it is judged that an obstruction is close to the mobile terminal, the mobile terminal performs a screen-off operation; when it is judged that an obstruction is far away from the mobile terminal, the mobile terminal executes a screen-on operation. [0003] However, when there is oil on the surface of the mobile ...
