The invention discloses a no-lightning-conductor power transmission line design method for a heavily icing region, and the method comprises the steps: reconstructing a pole and a lightning conductor; obtaining the parameters and historical data of a reconstructed line; replacing a common insulator of the reconstructed line with an icing flashover resistant composite insulator with an anti-thunder function; carrying out the simulation analysis of the icing flashover resistant composite insulator with the anti-thunder function, and determining an external structure of the icing flashover resistant composite insulator and the parameters of a zinc oxide valve block of the insulator; carrying out testing; and completing the no-lightning-conductor power transmission line design for the heavily icing region. The method prevents the breakage of an icing lightning conductor from causing a line outage accident, greatly reduces the construction cost of a power transmission line, and facilitates the construction and installation of a line and a pole.
