Abstract

The invention provides a large power static var compensator based on SOPC and IGCT. The static var compensator includes a controller module and a power module. A system control panel employs a FPGA processor of a SOPC system which configures systems on a programmable slice. The controller module includes the system control panel and a driving conditioning plate. The system control panel and the driving conditioning plate conduct bilateral communications, wherein the driving conditioning plate includes an IO interface circuit, a signal conditioning sampling circuit, a driving circuit and a protection circuit. The power module and the driving circuit are connected for receiving driving of a PWM driving signal. The power module includes an integrated gate commutated thyristor (IGCT) module and a filtering circuit. An input end of the filtering circuit and an output end of the IGCT module are connected so as to conduct filtering treatment on an output signal of the IGCT module. According to the invention, the static var compensator can increase power density of system modules, increase operation efficiency and fault reaction speed of the system, and reduce link interference among chips.
