The method comprises: a mobile terminal corresponding to each member in a group sends a heartbeat data packet to a server at a first preset time interval; when the server receives the heartbeat data packet sent by one mobile terminal each time, a user record is established for the mobile terminal sending the heartbeat data packet and counting is started, wherein the user record includes expiration time that is a sum of first current time and second preset time and the second preset time is larger than the first preset time; if the server receives an operation instruction sent by the mobile terminal sending the heartbeat data packet within the expiration time, second current time is obtained and the expiration time is updated by using the second current time, wherein the expiration time is a sum of the second current time and the second preset time; and if the server does not receive a heartbeat data packet or an operation instruction that is sent again by the mobile terminal sending the heartbeat data packet within the updated expiration time, the member is determined to be in an off-line state.
