The salvia plebeian has the effects of clearing heat, eliminating swelling and relieving pain. The houttuynia cordata and rhubarb are used for assisting the monarch drug to enhance the effects of clearing heat, removing toxin and eliminating swelling. The rhubarb also has the effect of activating blood. In addition, with assistances of the gallnuts for astringency and pain relieving and the sophora flavescens for clearing heat, drying dampness and relieving itch, the components are combined together to achieve the effects of clearing heat and eliminating swelling, activating blood and stopping bleeding, drying dampness and relieving itch. Before sleep every day, a pack of the sitz bath powder is placed in a basin with addition of 1000-1500 ml of hot water, when the water is cooled properly, sitz bath and external washing can be carried out.
