The method comprises the following steps of receiving the session message under a first mode; storing the session message under the first mode to a temporary session database; judging whether to enter a second mode through determining whether a source user of the session message is added in a friend list of the current user; and if entering the second mode, reading the session message under the first mode from the temporary session database and synchronizing under the second mode. According to the synchronization method, the synchronization device and the synchronization system for the session message, the session message under the first mode is synchronized to be under the second mode, so that loss of the session message, which is caused by mode conversion, is avoided, and integrity of a context of the session message is guaranteed.
