Abstract

A potted plant control system with a sensor-based automatic light following and water storage function relates to a potted plant control system. The system comprises a pot-planting control system host machine, raindrop sensors, sunlight sensors, a pressure sensor, a GSM short messaging module, a stepper motor, and a stepper motor controller. The system has a cylindrical host machine shell which has two layers, wherein one layer is the wall of a water storage tank, and the other layer is a pot-planting host machine shell. The two layers of the host machine shell are provided with water level observation windows in the same position. The upper part of the host machine is equipped with a two-layer top cover, wherein one layer is an upper cover of the pot-planting host machine, and the other layer is a lower cover of the pot-planting host machine. The sunlight sensors are installed at one side of the outer wall of the top cover of the host machine at intervals. The system can adjust the illumination time and angle of flower plants in real time according to the lighting condition, store rainwater and monitor the water storage condition in real time. When a flower plant lacks water, a short message can be sent to the phone of a user by the GSM technology, thus realizing household service through use of electronic technologies.
