Abstract

The invention provides a system for obtaining a monitoring video of a monitoring platform, and a method thereof. The system comprises a user terminal, a gateway and a central server, wherein the user terminal is used for sending a video acquisition request to the monitoring platform, wherein the video acquisition request carries the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the user terminal; the gateway has various types, and the gateway corresponding to the network type of a network where the user terminal is positioned receives the video acquisition request and transmits the video acquisition request to the central server; the central server is used for receiving the video acquisition request, matching with a corresponding media server address corresponding to the IP address of the user terminal and returns the matched media server address to the user terminal through the gateway; the user terminal is also used for sending a media request to the media server through the gateway according to the media server address; and the media server receives the media request, is connected with the user terminal and sends the requested monitoring video to the user terminal through the gateway. The system for obtaining the monitoring video of the monitoring platform can cause the monitoring platform to be used in various network environments.
