Abstract

The invention relates to a buffer energy absorption device based on magneto-rheological materials. The buffer energy absorption device comprises a double-sleeve structure and a magnet exciting coil used for generating a magnetic field. The double-sleeve structure is composed of an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve. One end of the double-sleeve structure is fixedly connected with a base, and the other end of the double-sleeve structure is fixedly connected with a sealing end cover. The double-sleeve structure is filled with the magneto-rheological materials. A gap is reserved between the outer sleeve and the inner sleeve of the double-sleeve structure and serves as an annular fluid channel. A piston is arranged in an inner cavity of the inner sleeve. A spring is arranged between the piston and the base. The piston and the inner wall of the inner sleeve are in sliding fit. The piston is fixed to a piston rod which extends out of the double-sleeve structure through the sealing end cover. A buffer head is arranged at the extended end of the piston rod. An opening is formed in the end, close to the base, of the inner sleeve to enable the inner cavity of the inner sleeve to be communicated with the annular fluid channel. A communication pipe is arranged at the end, close to the sealing end cover, of the double-sleeve structure to enable the annular fluid channel to be communicated with the inner cavity of the inner sleeve. According to the buffer energy absorption device based on the magneto-rheological materials, the damping force of a buffer device is adjusted in real time according to the magnitude of external impact force, and therefore the optimal buffer energy absorption effect is achieved.
