The head-worn stereoscopic video playing method relates to hardware and software. The hardware includes a memory, a processor, a displayer and an optical amplification component. The software includes a file operation module, a video decoding module, a video scaling module, a line interleaving conversion module, a display control module and a stereoscopic display module. According to the head-worn stereoscopic video playing method, complicated real-time frame dividing operation does not need to be performed by a PCU; use of an expensive high-performance or customized chip can be avoided, and stereoscopic display can be realized by an embedded platform with a video display controller; and stereoscopic display can be realized with no requirement of using a dedicated two-way video output control interface so that development cost is relatively low.
