The invention provides a cigarette circumference ratio detecting and regulating device which comprises a pressure sensor; a PLC (programmable logic controller) which is used for receiving a pressure signal from the pressure sensor, comparing and analyzing the received pressure signal with a set value so as to judge whether the circumference ratio of a cigarette is qualified or not, and outputting a judgment result to a touch display screen, or if the cigarette is unqualified, outputting a regulating command to a servo controller; a large pressing plate device which is used for regulating the tightness degree of a large pressing plate so as to regulate the circumference of the cigarette; and the touch display screen which is electrically connected to the PLC and is used for receiving and displaying a cigarette circumference ratio status signal from the PLC, setting the regulating command for driving the servo controller or changing the set value inside the PLC and for transmitting the regulating command or the set value to the PLC. The detecting and regulating device disclosed by the invention not only can be used for detecting and regulating the circumference of the cigarette, but also can be used for eliminating cigarette having non-conforming circumference, so as to effectively reduce the standard deviation of cigarette circumference and to improve the stability of the cigarette circumference.
