Abstract

The invention relates to laser fibers, and provides a high-power flexible optical cable which comprises a fiber core and an inner wrapping layer wrapped outside the fiber core. The high-power flexible optical cable further comprises an outer heat radiation pipe and an inner heat radiation pipe in the outer heat radiation pipe, wherein the outer heat radiation pipe and the inner heat radiation pipe are made of high-molecular flexible material, the inner wrapping layer and the fiber core are arranged in inner heat radiation pipe and attached to each other, and a gap is arranged between the outer heat radiation pipe and the inner heat radiation pipe and filled with phase transition material. The invention further provides a method for manufacturing the high-power flexible optical cable to form the optical fiber. A bi-layer structure of an outer heat radiation pipe and an inner heat radiation pipe is arranged outside the inner wrapping layer, and the gap between the outer heat radiation pipe and an inner heat radiation pipe is filled with phase transition material. In this way, the optical cable is flexible, and is convenient for installation and use, and excellent in heat radiation performance. The high-power flexible optical cable is applicable to a high-power laser, and the high-power flexible optical cable can be formed through the method.
