Abstract

The invention discloses a traditional Chinese medicine preparation for treating peripheral facial paralysis. The traditional Chinese medicine considers that the wry mouth is caused by the fact that wind pathogens enter midface meridians and collaterals due to insufficient anti-pathogenic energy, weakness of meridian and collaterals, and defensive qi instability, or inherent wind phlegm and blood stasis in a body and blocking of facial meridians and collaterals. Therefore, traditional Chinese medicines including smilax riparia, roots of gynura bicolor, cyperus difformis, herb of selaginella davidii, roots of berchemia floribunda, sopubia trifida, aralia elata, crotalaria ferruginea, herb of tree clubmoss, chonemorpha megacalyx and mucuna sempervirens are decocted into decoction with water. A clinical test result shows that the total effective rate is 92.73% and is obviously superior to 73.33% of a control group, and curative effect is obvious.
