Embodiment 1

[0019] Example 1. Circadian rhythm of corticosterone

[0020] 1. Test materials

[0021] Test animals: 16 AA broilers (half male and half female) aged 42 days old were randomly divided into 4 cages according to body weight and sex. Each cage was used as a duplicate, and each duplicate had 4 chickens, which were kept in the environmental control warehouse. , The first 3 days is the adaptation stage, the temperature of the environmental control warehouse is 22℃, the humidity is 60%, free intake of food and water, 24h light.

[0022] Test kit for corticosterone content: Corticosterone ELISA kit (Enzo). The kit uses polyclonal antibodies and corticosterone as a standard to detect the amount of a class of substances that have a stable structure and the same immunological activity as the standard corticosterone.

[0023] 2. Test method

[0024] All feces from each repeated excretion were collected every 2 hours starting at 8:00 in the morning of the test day, a total of 12 times were collec...

Embodiment 2

[0032] Example 2. The effect of acute high temperature on corticosterone

[0033] 1. Test materials

[0034] Test animals: 16 AA broilers (half male and half female) aged 42 days old were randomly divided into 4 cages according to body weight and sex. Each cage was used as a duplicate, and each duplicate had 4 chickens, which were kept in the environmental control warehouse. , The first 3 days is the adaptation stage, the temperature of the environmental control warehouse is 22 ℃, the humidity is 60%, and the food and water are free.

[0035] 2. Test method

[0036] Starting at 8 o'clock in the morning of the test day, the temperature in the environmental control chamber was raised to 35°C within 30 minutes, and the humidity was set to 60% and kept unchanged. After 2h, the temperature was lowered back to 22℃ within 30 minutes. All feces were collected for 2h before treatment, and feces excreted within 2h were collected at the second, 4th, 6th, and 22h after treatment, and stored at -...

Abstract

The invention discloses a non-invasive endocrine index for evaluating the thermal comfort of table poultry and application thereof. According to the application, the content of corticosterone in excrement of the table poultry serves as an index to assist evaluation of the thermal comfort of the table poultry. Experiments show that, under the condition that the table poultry are not subjected to interference of changes of external environmental conditions, the content, collected with 2h as a time period, of the corticosterone in the excrement of the table poultry keeps stable at daytime and night, and no large fluctuation exists. However, after the table poultry are suddenly exposed to a high-temperature environment, the content of the corticosterone in the excrement in 2h rises sharply. Therefore, the content of the corticosterone in the excrement of the table poultry in 2h can serve as a non-invasive endocrine index for evaluating the thermal comfort of the table poultry.

Description

Technical field [0001] The invention relates to a non-invasive endocrine index for evaluating the thermal comfort of broilers and its application, and belongs to the field of environmental evaluation. Background technique [0002] Environmental comfort directly affects the growth, reproduction, health and production efficiency of livestock and poultry. The comfort of animals is a comprehensive state of the interaction of many physical and mental factors. The evaluation of animal comfort is a complex issue. In order to avoid mis-evaluation, comprehensive evaluation of indicators such as behavior, production performance, physiology and endocrine is often used. From the perspective of endocrine indicators, people often use this indicator to detect body fluid glucocorticoids. However, the detection of body fluid glucocorticoids requires the collection of body fluids. The body fluid collection procedure will inevitably use methods such as contacting, capturing, binding, or blood sam...
