Abstract

A device having one or more adjustable loops or coils associated with an implant body for use in soft tissue reconstructions is provided. One exemplary embodiment of a device includes a body and a suture filament, with the filament being used to form a self-locking sliding knot disposed on a top side of the body and a plurality of adjustable coils that are substantially disposed on the body's bottom side. Terminal ends of the filament located above the body's top side can be passed through an opening of a Lark's Head knot from opposite sides, thus forming a self-locking sliding knot, and then the terminal ends can be tensioned to adjust a circumference of the coils. Changing a coil's circumference changes a location of a ligament graft disposed on the coil. Other configurations of devices and systems, as well as methods for performing ACL repairs, are also provided.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to devices, systems and methods for securing soft tissue to bone, and more particularly, it relates to securing anterior cruciate ligament grafts to the femur. Background technique [0002] Joint injuries can often result in complete or partial detachment of ligaments, tendons, and soft tissues from the bone. Tissue disengagement can occur in a number of ways, for example, as a result of an accident such as a fall, during a work-related activity, during a sports event, or in any of a number of other situations and / or activities. Excessive force. These types of injuries are usually the result of excessive stress or extraordinary force being applied to the tissue. [0003] In the case of a partial detachment (often referred to under the general term "sprain"), the injury often heals without medical intervention, with the patient resting and taking care not to expose the injury to undue physical force during the healing pr...
