Embodiment Construction

[0043] The present invention will be further described below with reference to the drawings and embodiments.

[0044] figure 1 A schematic diagram of a centralized cellular network architecture (centralized RAN architecture) is shown. The network architecture includes three levels: a baseband resource pool, a virtual base station, and a remote antenna array. Under this architecture, the baseband resource pool contains a large number of computing resources used for baseband data processing (such as CPU resources and DSP resources for baseband processing, which are collectively referred to as baseband processing units in the present invention, denoted by BBU). Virtual base stations (Virtual Base Station, abbreviated as VBS) are all mapped with one or more different computing resource entities. Each virtual base station corresponds to the remote antenna array of each cell.

[0045] The present invention provides a baseband pool resource allocation method based on the above-mentioned...

Abstract

The invention provides a method for allocating baseband pool resources under an integrated cellular network architecture. The method comprises the steps: 1) acquiring computing resources required by the baseband treatment for each cell under the integrated cellular network architecture, ranking in a descending order according to the volume of the required computing resources and choosing each cell in sequence; 2) directly allocating the corresponding residual computing resources of a single BBU (Building Baseband Unit) according to the residual computing resource condition of each BBU in the baseband pool and the predicted power consumption after the allocation and computation of the resources; or, dividing the baseband treatment of the previous cell into a plurality of sub-cells and mapping the sub-cells to different BBUs. On the premise that the business requirement of the system is guaranteed, the usage number of the baseband computing units in the baseband pool is reduced as much as possible, so that the power consumption of the baseband pool is reduced and the network operating cost is reduced.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of mobile communication networks. Specifically, the present invention relates to a baseband pool resource allocation method and device under a centralized cellular network architecture. Background technique [0002] With the rapid development of smart terminals and mobile multimedia services, the demand for mobile network data traffic is increasing. The mobile characteristics of users and the burst characteristics of data services have led to more obvious changes in system load time and space. However, traditional cellular mobile communication systems center on cell base stations. , Networking is carried out by means of simple physical superposition, each cell base station is relatively independent, the processing capacity of a single base station can only be used by users in its coverage area, and the dynamic sharing of processing capacity between different base stations cannot be realized. When the cell...
