Problems solved by technology

Our research has found that the roots of some corn can attract zoospores of Phytophthora capsici, but zoospores cannot germinate and infect after contacting corn roots, and can be lysed due to the action of root exudates, thus losing the ability to infect

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for ecological control over spreading of crop epidemic diseases based on inter-restriction between maize roots and phytophthora and relates to the field of biological control. According to the method, the characteristics of maize roots of attracting phytophthora capsici spores and secreting antibacterial substance to kill pathogenic bacteria are utilized, and intercropping of maize and pepper is conducted in a field or maize is planted around pepper to form a root wall, so that spreading of phytophthora capsici in the field is prevented. Crop diseases are controlled by means of inter-restriction between plants and microorganisms, spreading of crop epidemic diseases can be reduced, and ecological control of diseases is achieved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of biological control, in particular to a method for ecologically controlling the spread of crop diseases by using the principle of mutual restraint between corn roots and Phytophthora. Background technique [0002] The prevention and control of soil-borne diseases is a difficult problem in the field of plant disease control. Diseases caused by pathogens of the oomycete Phytophthora spp, such as pepper blight, soybean blight, notoginseng blight, and tobacco black shank, are one of the important soil-borne diseases that endanger crop production. The prevention and control of crop diseases is very difficult. The use of disease-resistant breeding, chemical pesticides and other methods to control soil-borne diseases has certain effects, but they all have their own limitations. In particular, the extensive use of chemical pesticides has caused the emergence of pathogenic bacteria resistance and environmental pollution of ...
