Embodiment Construction

[0021] The following are specific examples of HgO and application research of the present invention, and the following examples are intended to further describe the present invention in detail, but not to limit the present invention.

[0022] (1) Preparation of HgO:

[0023] Dissolve 42 mmol of mercuric nitrate in 50 mL of deionized water to obtain a mercuric nitrate solution. Dissolve 84 mmol of sodium hydroxide in 50 mL of deionized water to obtain a sodium hydroxide solution. At room temperature, the two solutions were mixed, stirred in the dark for 2 h, and then centrifuged to obtain a precipitate. The precipitate was dried at 60 °C for 5 h to obtain a HgO sample.

[0024] (2) Characterization of HgO:

[0025] from figure 1 It can be seen that the crystal phase of the HgO sample is completely consistent with the standard HgO crystal phase of JCPDS No.37-1469 in the "Powder Diffraction Card Collection", which shows that the HgO sample was successfully prepared. from ...

Abstract

The invention discloses an application of mercuric oxide. The mercuric oxide is taken as a photocatalyst to degrade an organic dye pollutant, so that the application scope of the mercuric oxide is wooden. The activity of the organic dye pollutant degraded by the mercuric oxide photocatalyst, such as a Rhodamine B dye is obviously higher than that of titanium dioxide P25 and is also obviously higher than that of a high-activity Ag3PO4 photocatalyst. Due to high durability of the mercuric oxide, the activity is not reduced after the mercuric oxide is recycled for more than 3 times. The mercuric oxide photocatalyst disclosed by the invention has high activity, high durability, simple preparation method and mild preparation conditions and facilitates popularization and application.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of photocatalysis in environmental treatment, and relates to the application of mercury oxide as a novel photocatalyst in degrading organic dye pollutants. Background technique [0002] With the increase of population, the scale of the printing and dyeing industry in the world is constantly expanding. The large amount of organic dye pollutants discharged by this industry has become an important source of water pollution in the world. Semiconductor photocatalysis technology can directly use sunlight to efficiently oxidize and degrade dye pollutants at room temperature. Therefore, it is a favorable way to control environmental pollution by making full use of sunlight to degrade dye pollutants through photocatalytic technology. Because ultraviolet light only accounts for about 4% of the total energy of sunlight, while visible light accounts for about 46%, so the key to utilizing solar energy is to utilize the ...
