Embodiment Construction

[0031] See the attached picture for details, figure 2 shows the enlargement of the head size in the radial direction by comparison with standard head shapes and sizes (see references 1-6) according to the present invention, where the letter designation A indicates a small head size, and the letter Reference B indicates a relatively large head size. Using these measurements and augmentations, the present invention results in a new design for a head-mountable electrode array device. The device relies on radially adjustable electrodes that match individual head sizes relative to conventional elastic caps that laterally elongate the spacing between electrodes.

[0032] As shown in FIG. 3 , the head-mountable device is attached to the wearer's head using precise orientation and positioning of the apex (Cz) found with reference to the nasion 100 and occipital eminence 200 , and the ear auricle 300 , which The apex is the center point between the nasion 100 and the occipital promi...

Abstract

The invention provides a device capable of being mounted on the head and with electrodes for the electroencephalogram based on the electrode which can be adjusted in the radial direction. The device is used for matching the unique size and shape of the head of a wearer. The device which is provided with an electrode array which is arranged in the device and can be mounted on the head comprises mounting parts which can be mounted on the head, and the mounting parts are mutually connected by mechanical fasteners to be convenient for the adjustment of the size and the position of the device which can be mounted on the head. An elastic sleeve array is arranged in a part of each mounting part which can be mounted on the head. A single electrode is accommodated in each sleeve array which is deformable for self orientation. The deformation of the sleeves causes the center shaft of the single electrode accommodated in the elastic sleeve to be maintained at the position nearly perpendicular to the plane tangent line of the scalp part relatively positioned below the electrode.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an electroencephalography (EEG) brain biofeedback device for rehabilitation, training or entertainment, in particular to a brain biofeedback device with self-orientation and radially adjustable EEG electrodes. Background technique [0002] Stroke is a cerebrovascular accident with high disability and mortality. A major factor affecting independence in stroke survivors is hand function, which is closely related to daily life, such as eating and self-cleaning. As the population ages and lives longer, neurorehabilitation after stroke or other cerebrovascular accidents is a major future challenge. [0003] Electroencephalography (EEG: Electroencephalography) is a technique for measuring bioelectrical signals generated by the cerebral cortex of the brain. This signal is directly related to voluntary motor contributions from the central nervous system (eg, EEG motor imagery, thinking and planning of body work). EEG signals are mor...
