Embodiment 1

[0029] 100 mL of a mixed solution of 2 mM oxalic acid in water with an As(III) concentration of 1 mM and a Cr(VI) concentration of 0.6 mM, and adjusting the pH value to 3 with sulfuric acid;

[0030] One is 100mL of a mixed solution of As(III) concentration of 1mM and oxalic acid 2mM, and the pH value is adjusted to 3 by sulfuric acid; the other is 100mL of a mixed solution of Cr(VI) concentration of 0.6mM and oxalic acid 2mM, and the pH value is adjusted by sulfuric acid. Adjust the pH value to 3; one is 100 mL of a mixed solution with a concentration of As(III) of 1 mM and a concentration of Cr(VI) of 0.6 mM, and adjust the pH value to 3 with sulfuric acid.

[0031] Such as figure 1 and figure 2 As shown, the reaction can only proceed when As(III), Cr(VI) and oxalic acid coexist, and the treatment efficiency is high. No reaction occurs when any other two substances coexist.

Embodiment 2

[0033] 100 mL of a mixed solution of 4 mM citric acid in water with an As(III) concentration of 1 mM and a Cr(VI) concentration of 1.2 mM, and adjusting the pH value to 2 with sulfuric acid;

[0034] Such as image 3 As shown, citric acid with a dicarboxylic structure can also make As(III) and Cr(VI) have a synergistic redox effect.

Embodiment 3

[0036] Add 5 mM oxalic acid in water with As(III) concentration of 1 mM and Cr(VI) concentration of 3 mM, and adjust the pH value to 2 with sulfuric acid.

[0037] Such as Figure 4 As shown, the greater the amount of oxalic acid, the lower the pH value, the more favorable the redox of arsenic and chromium.

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of sewage treatment, and particularly relates to a treatment method for jointly performing oxidation of trivalent arsenic and reduction of hexavalent chromium by using an organic acid. The method comprises the following steps: adding micromolecular organic acid with a double-carboxyl structure to a to-be-treated water body containing trivalent arsenic As(III) and hexavalent chromium Cr(VI), and adjusting the pH value, so as to trigger oxidation of arsenic, reduction of chromium and transformation into carbon dioxide from organic acid in the water body. Synergistic treatment of toxic substances, namely the trivalent arsenic and the hexavalent chromium is achieved by using these micromolecular organic acids existing in the water body, finally the three harmful substances are transformed into the products which are smaller in toxicity, or completely harmless, self-cleaning of the water body is achieved, in addition, no chemical reducer or oxidant is added, the treatment method is free of input of an external energy source, free of adding of chemical substances, free of secondary pollution, free of sediments or sludge, environmental friendly, and free of harm.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of sewage treatment, in particular to a treatment method for synergistically oxidizing trivalent arsenic and reducing hexavalent chromium by using organic acids. Background technique [0002] Arsenic (As) is an element widely distributed in the earth's crust and is recognized as a toxic carcinogen. As compounds have trivalent and pentavalent forms, and As(III) is more toxic and mobile. Studies have shown that with AsO 3 3- The ratio of As(III) present to AsO 4 3- The presence of As(V) is 60 times more toxic. While arsenic compounds are widely used in production fields such as mining, smelting, glass manufacturing, pesticides and wood preservatives, a considerable amount of arsenic compounds enters the environment and exists in water, soil, plants, animals, marine organisms and humans, and forms a cycle between the various arsenic compounds. [0003] According to the research of the World Health Organization, as...
