Abstract

The invention provides an ME based dynamic server energy consumption management and correction method. Server energy consumption is accurately controlled by configuration and management of ME provided by the Intel. The method includes the main steps: confirming a firmware version of IntelME, performing energy consumption control threshold measurement for a CPU (central processing unit) platform, designing an energy consumption control strategy oriented to the CPU platform, generating and setting the energy consumption control strategy, collecting historical data information of energy consumption, analyzing energy consumption data, correcting the control strategy and the like. By introduction of a closed-loop control system, the generated dynamic power consumption management strategy is adjusted regularly to enable energy consumption management effect of a system to be optimized. The method is suitable for all CPU platform types supporting the IntelME and particularly suitable for occasions such as large data processing centers and high-performance cluster computation with large demand for actual number of servers; by means of energy consumption management and control of all server nodes, optimum processing of server cluster energy consumption management is realized.
