Abstract

The invention provides an electric automobile power battery equalization management system and method. Battery cells of a battery pack of the electric automobile power battery equalization management system are connected in series and sequentially divided into M identical battery modules. All the battery modules are connected with corresponding resistor equalization circuits and capacitor equalization circuits as well as a coaxial multi-winding DC-DC converter. A microcontroller is connected with a battery management system so as to acquire battery pack status data. Signals of the microcontroller are connected with all the resistor equalization circuits and the capacitor equalization circuits and further connected with a pulse drive unit and a converter. According to the equalization management method, the microcontroller first acquires nominal parameters of the battery pack, so that control parameters are determined; then, the microcontroller acquires current operation variables, so that the maximum deviation and the dispersion degree of voltage of the battery modules are calculated; according to different states of the battery pack, namely charging, quiescence and discharging, different judgment standards for starting equalization are selected, the converter is used for equalization between the modules, the resistor equalization circuits and the capacitor equalization circuits are used for equalization between the battery cells. According to the electric automobile power battery equalization management system and method, advantages of various equalization circuits are complementary to one another, so that equalization speed is increased, and equalization efficiency is improved.
