Problems solved by technology

[0004] Phthalic anhydride wastewater using naphthalene or not less than 30wt% naphthalene as raw material contains colored substances such as naphthoquinone. These colored substances are substances containing multiple double bond conjugated groups. These substances are slightly soluble in water and can only pass through activated carbon The effect of decolorization cannot be achieved, and the product is light red or light yellow, which cannot meet the requirements of feed grade fumaric acid

Abstract

The invention provides a method for recovering fumaric acid from phthalic anhydride wastewater. The method comprises the following steps: (1) settling the wastewater to obtain supernatant; (2) decolorizing the supernatant to obtain decolorized liquid, wherein the decolorization comprises active carbon adsorptive decolorization and electrolytic decolorization; (3) adding thiourea into the decolorized liquid to perform isomerization reaction and performing solid-liquid separation so as to obtain white fumaric acid. According to the method for recovering the fumaric acid from the phthalic anhydride wastewater provided by the embodiment of the invention, organic impurities, which are unlikely to be dissolved in water, in the phthalic anhydride wastewater can be effectively decomposed in combination with the active carbon adsorptive decolorization and the electrolytic decolorization when the phthalic anhydride wastewater is subjected to decolorization treatment, so that the fumaric acid which meets the feed-stage standard can be prepared.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for recovering fumaric acid from phthalic anhydride wastewater. Background technique [0002] The raw material for the production of phthalic anhydride is o-xylene or naphthalene, and the other raw material is oxygen. During the reaction, about 3% of the by-product of maleic acid will be generated, accompanied by other by-products. These by-products are sprayed with water in the tail gas tower of the phthalic anhydride plant, which is phthalic anhydride wastewater. [0003] Using thiourea as a catalyst, maleic acid can be isomerized into fumaric acid, namely fumaric acid. Fumaric acid can be used as feed or food additive, and has a wide range of uses. However, since phthalic anhydride wastewater contains other colored substances, the phthalic anhydride wastewater needs to be decolorized during the recovery of fumaric acid. At present, activated carbon is commonly used to decolorize phthalic anhydride wastewater. ...
