Abstract

A universal charging detector and a universal charging detecting method are disclosed hereon, wherein the universal charging detector is suitable for a charging device. The charging device is used for connecting with at least one electronic device through a universal serial bus. The universal charging detector comprises a voltage output unit, a current sensing unit, a current level detector and a state machine. The voltage output unit is electrically connected with the universal serial bus. The current sensing unit is used for converting the output current of the charging device to the universal serial bus to a sensing voltage. The current level detector is sued for outputting a detecting signal according to the level of the sensing voltage. The state machine is used for causing the voltage output unit to adjust the voltage between a first data signal end and a second data signal end of the universal serial bus according to the level of the detecting signal.
